Outsourcing for media group in Italy

November 20, 2007

Higher efficiency and lower costs for infrastructures and services is what the Italian media group De Agostini Editore expects when outsourcing its ICT. T-Systems has won the company over.
Under the terms of an extensive contract, T-Systems will immediately take on responsibility for the media group De Agostini Editore's entire IT and telecommunications infrastructure. The plan is to also consolidate the server and memory capacity landscape over the course of the project. In addition, T-Systems will operate a help desk, provide a disaster recovery system and manage the customer's PC and laptop workstations.
Strong partners
"The order signed with T-Systems represents an important step in the evolution of our ICT architecture," says Guido Di Dario, coordinator of the outsourcing project at De Agostini Editore. He adds that his company intends to improve the efficiency of its infrastructure while lowering costs through its cooperation with T-Systems. The holding company De Agostini Group, which was founded in 1901, is active in various industries as well as in the financial sector. The holding company comprises De Agostini Editore, De Agostini Communications, Lottomatica, DeA Capital and IdeA Alternative Investments.
